About Tigers

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the world’s largest wild cat, instantly recognisable by its reddish-orange coat with dark stripes. A solitary hunter, it relies on stealth and strength to capture prey—sometimes several times its own weight. Tigers live in forests and grasslands across Asia and, unlike most cats, they are excellent swimmers that enjoy cooling off in rivers and streams.
