About the Eurasian Lynx
The Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) is Europe’s largest wild cat, known for its silent movements and keen senses. Its characteristic ear tufts enhance hearing, while large, furry paws act as natural snowshoes in winter. Males can weigh up to 30 kilograms. Once nearly extinct in Sweden, the lynx has made a strong recovery, with around 1,500 individuals now roaming Scandinavian forests.
