With the new ASHI fireplace set, the German design duo kaschkasch has once again demonstrated that even the most everyday object can be clever, elegant, and deserving of daily appreciation. The shape of ASHI is inspired by the swaying reeds that grow abundantly in shallow water. The handle mirrors this contour, and the rod resembles the strong, hollow stems that have been used for centuries as basket-making material.
As a practical addition, the wooden handles have a built-in magnet that holds the set securely to the stand when not in use, turning the fireplace set into a decorative item in your living room. The shovel, brush and poker of the fireplace set appear to float on the crossbar of the matt powder-coated holder. The tongs are simply placed on top.
ASHI is available in two versions – with a black or brown oak handle. This allows it to blend in perfectly with your interior.
