TrendSet Sommer 2019: successful offering at the Topic Areas
The Topic Areas of TrendSet are the answer to new trends in how lines of merchandise are presented. Overarching themes such as, for example, Heimat & Tracht (national costumes), Young Collections, Contemporary Art, and Beauty & Accessories each receive their own exhibition space at TrendSet Country & Style, TrendSet Newcomer, TrendSet Fine Arts, and TrendSet Bijoutex, respectively. At TrendSet Summer 2019, as in the past, trade visitors took advantage of the clear and concentrated offering at the Topic Areas to discover new products and companies.
The Topic Areas of TrendSet offer visitors the opportunity to discover special topics and product ranges in a targeted and concentrated fashion. At TrendSet Country & Style, there are many trendy and traditional products to be found such as traditionally-styled attire, country-inspired articles, and Alpine heritage gifts. Many trade visitors also came to TrendSet Summer 2019 for Heimat collections to fill up their shops and storehouses with traditional folk costumes and classic styles. “For us and our brand, the placement in the Country & Style Topic Area is super. We are generating good contacts to the trade here,” explained Brigitte Riedl, Managing Director of Gackerl, as to why her company is at TrendSet Country & Style.
In July, as in the past, the topic area TrendSet Newcomer offered small and innovative companies, firms new to TrendSet, and young companies a lot of room to present and introduce their promising products. “TrendSet Newcomer gives us a good opportunity to try out the fair and to present our company with its products to a wide specialist audience. We are making valuable contacts here and getting orders,” said Eva Areizaga, Managing Director of Lili’s Loft, who is exhibiting at TrendSet Newcomer for the second time.
At TrendSet Bijoutex, the Topic Area for Accessories, the trade once again found everything new revolving around fashion jewellery, beauty, and fashion. “We are satisfied with how TrendSet Summer 2019 is going. The fair simply works. The order figures are good and the traffic at our stand is also good. We meet our regular customers here at TrendSet Bijoutex, but we also meet many new customers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France,” said Jolita Huybregts, Managing Director of biba, who has exhibited for years at TrendSet Bijoutex.
The success story of TrendSet Fine Arts advances to the third round
Besides the established Topic Areas TrendSet Country & Style with trendy heimat products, TrendSet Newcomer with new firms and young companies, and TrendSet Bijoutex with new accessories, TrendSet Fine Arts was also present in July, this time for the third time. At the art area of TrendSet, artists presented individual works and series of contemporary fine art. Gallery owners, interior decorators, and interior designers were at the Topic Area, as were trade visitors ordering one-of-a-kind pieces to expand the offerings in their shops or add to their own art collections. From the hospitality and catering sector, mostly hotel owners stopped by to discover contemporary art fresh from the atelier, making use of it to personalise and enhance the aesthetics of their spaces. On the first day of the fair, artists, visitors, and guests meet up to a “Meet the Artist” event, during which they philosophised, talked shop, and purchased or ordered.
The artist Marie-Louise Sieber (papart – Kunstobjekte aus Papier) described the possibilities at TrendSet Fine Arts this way: “TrendSet Fine Arts is running excellently. Here, I am quite able to extend my radius, because besides people interested in art and gallery owners, B2B target groups come here—that is, interior decorators, hotel owners, stationery shop owners, interior designers. Those are new contacts for me that also inspire me to continue to develop my works. I am able to present myself professionally to a wide audience at TrendSet. Everything is here—from the installed lights to catering. The price/performance ratio can’t be beat. And the audience here is at a very high level.”
