Trade Visitors at TrendSet Munich

Three days. Around 2,000 brands and collections from around 40 countries. 6 Theme Worlds and 2 Topic Areas across around 60,000 sq meters. TrendSet is the international trade fair for Interiors and Lifestyle in Munich and the central platform for specialized retailers to scout trends and new products, discover new suppliers and efficiently order seasonal collections — all in one location, in a compact three-day format.

This offering follows a clear trade fair concept: 6 Theme Worlds and 2 Topic Areas represent the complete range of a modern lifestyle store. Home & Giving, Decoration & Handicrafts, Garden & Outdoor, Dining & Gourmet, Kids & Family and Fashion & Jewelry. Plus TrendSet Newcomer and TrendSet Bijoutex as specialized Topic Areas. Exhibitors often cover multiple Theme Worlds with their product range — making it possible to make purchasing decisions across several product categories in a single trade fair visit.

In January, TrendSet is one of the first order dates of the season; in July, it is the first and largest summer order fair for Interiors and Lifestyle in Germany.

Three reasons to visit TrendSet

Expectations for brick-and-mortar retail are changing. Customers are no longer looking for individual products — they are looking for curated collections that tell a story: a set table that matches the vase, that matches the room fragrance, that becomes the perfect gift. Retailers who want to stay relevant today think in living worlds rather than product categories.

This is exactly what the TrendSet trade fair concept is designed for. Six Theme Worlds and two Topic Areas represent the complete range of a modern lifestyle store — from Home & Giving to Dining & Gourmet to Fashion & Jewelry. Exhibitors often assign themselves to multiple Theme Worlds simultaneously, across halls. For buyers, this means: A walk through the fair doesn’t lead through isolated product categories, but through connected product worlds — just the way they should work in store.

In January, TrendSet is one of the first order dates of the season. In July, it is the first and largest summer order fair for Interiors and Lifestyle in Germany. Ordering early means securing availability, planning the season ahead of time and gaining an early edge on trends and new products.

Three trade fair days are short. Making the most of them starts long before. TrendSet provides the tools:

  • The exhibitor search lets you filter brands by Theme Worlds, product categories and new products in advance — and save them as a personal shortlist.
  • The interactive hall plan, used by around 70 percent of trade visitors, turns that shortlist into a concrete route through the halls.

Just as important as order preparation is trend research. Each season, TrendSet develops its own trend motif, which comes to life in curated installations at the fair.

The TrendSet Journal, published ahead of each event, provides an editorial overview of the new products and trends of the upcoming edition.

And TRENDSET365, TrendSet’s year-round digital platform, makes products and trends visible between fair dates — as a permanent source of inspiration for range planning.

Inspiration, trends, order — and every product category in one place

TrendSet is more than three days of ordering. It is the place where specialized Interiors and Lifestyle retailers discover trends, scout new products and assemble collections for the coming season. Inspiration through curated stands and trend installations. Efficient ordering across all relevant product categories. And networking with brands, suppliers and industry peers.

The six Theme Worlds form the core offering of TrendSet — structured by living categories, not by halls. Exhibitors assign themselves to one or more Theme Worlds, across halls.

The two Topic Areas complement the Theme Worlds with specialized, curated sections with their own distinct profile.

TrendSet Newcomer — This is where young brands, start-ups and artisan manufacturers present themselves. Those looking for new suppliers beyond the established industry names — regional, handcrafted, with their own concept — will find them in the Newcomer section. The curated setting makes it easy to scout a broad spectrum of new suppliers in a short time.

TrendSet Bijoutex — Bijoutex is the specialized Topic Area for fashion jewelry, hair accessories, watches and fashion accessories. Unlike most trade fair segments, Bijoutex operates as a cash & carry area: the price ranges and fast collection cycles in the fashion jewelry segment allow retailers to purchase stock on-site and take it straight to their stores. For anyone looking to keep their accessories range up to date at short notice and in line with the season, this is a dedicated destination at the fair.
