Good news: TrendSet Summer 2020 is taking place!
It’s the largest industry gathering in Germany in this season.

Just in time, the trends of the coming Autumn/Winter 2020.21 and Spring/Summer 2021 seasons will be shown at TrendSet in Munich from 12 to 14 September 2020. TrendSet and its exhibitors are holding together for the industry sector. More than 600 exhibitors will present the latest trends for Interiors & Lifestyle in six exhibition halls at TrendSet Summer 2020 – of course, based on appropriate measures to protect against the coronavirus.

For three days, trade visitors can find out about the products for Autumn/Winter 2020.21 and Christmas 2020 and order them directly. What’s also really special: Many exhibitors are also showing their year-round collections and even products for the Spring/Summer 2021 season. What’s new is that because of the coronavirus, tickets can only be bought online and in advance. The digitised entry control will ensure contactless and fast entry to TrendSet.

Tatjana Pannier, Managing Director of TrendSet, commented, “We were always optimistic that TrendSet Summer 2020 would take place. Therefore, our work concentrated on managing the postponed dates. For an international trade fair such as TrendSet, this is a gigantic logistical challenge. Today, we can say that the dates are set. Despite the situation due to Covid-19, more than half of the exhibitors will be there compared to the previous year. These include the top brands in the industry. We are thrilled about this. At TrendSet Summer 2020, trade visitors can expect a wide variety of areas, brands, and collections in 15 Interiors & Lifestyle Areas and four Topic Areas. At the upcoming trade fair, we also made sure that all areas were again well-balanced in order to offer trade visitors everything they need for their orders and their business.

What is new at TrendSet Summer 2020?

In addition to the many new trends and products for Autumn/Winter 2020.21, Christmas 2020, and Spring/Summer 2021, there are a few changes in how the fair is organised. A covering over nose and mouth must be worn, to which by now one is accustomed. The registration of personal data must be given online when tickets are purchased. A new feature is contactless digitised admission control in which visitors scan their admission tickets themselves. And importantly: Tickets to TrendSet Summer 2020 may only be bought online. Parking for TrendSet Summer 2020 is free of charge for trade visitors!

Who is at TrendSet Summer 2020?

More than half of the exhibitors compared to the previous year will be there, including the top brands of the industry. This variety is part of the TrendSet concept. As in the past, at the upcoming fair, all 15 Interiors & Lifestyle Fair Areas and the four Topic Areas are again well filled and balanced so as to offer trade visitors everything they need for their orders and business. TrendSet is excited to once again welcome many new exhibitors. New to TrendSet Summer 2020 are: Lambert GmbH from Mönchengladbach (international supplier of furniture and home accessories), Brucs Casa S.L. from Spain (family business in the furniture and decoration sector), ABLO – Blommaert nv from Belgium (providers of high-quality pictures and wall decorations), Framsohn Frottier GmbH from Austria (traditional family business in textile production), and Masterlight from the Netherlands (manufacturer of high-quality designer luminaires).

Which protective measures are in effect at TrendSet Summer 2020?

TrendSet is implementing the hygiene concept for trade fairs, congresses, and exhibitions which the Bavarian state government has created. In addition to training employees and advising exhibitors, this means mainly changing the planning and organisation of the trade fair. The exhibition halls are designed in such a way that the minimum distance of 1.5 metres between people is guaranteed at all times. Cleaning and disinfection schedules are part of the measures, as is mandatory protection covering one’s nose and mouth. Exhibitors, visitors, and service providers are registered in order to enable potential contact persons to be identified later. This is all taking place in accordance with the applicable data privacy requirements.

What are the trends at TrendSet Sommer 2020?

Based on thorough trend research, as early as six months before the start of the season, TrendSet publicizes all the important trends for the industry. The looks and content of the trends are joined together in the new central motif and the trend motifs of TrendSet Summer 2020. They point the way to the product worlds to come and give the trade a preview of the trends for Autumn/Winter 2020.21.

Enjoyment, comfort, and sustainability are at the centre of the designs in Autumn/Winter 2020.21. The styles of the season are just as diverse as they are creative. Whether futuristic, cool, urban, rural, retrospective, or nostalgic – the aesthetics of things are largely defined by the meaningfulness, environmental compatibility, and sustainability of the designs. Uncomplicated shapes, clear lines, and soft colours create a cosy, comfortable ambience. Industrial aesthetics create cool urban looks. Flowing, partly virtual looks, lively surfaces, and innovative materials show the digital, future-orientated expression of many designs.

In the area of interiors, the clear cosiness of Scandinavian furnishing concepts is combined with the pure, intuitive functionality of Japanese design principles. Most notably, natural materials such as wood, rattan, ceramics, jute, leather, and wool implement the resulting elementary designs. Modern interiors will experience a futuristic makeover in Autumn/Winter 2020.21. In fashions, the trend towards casual elegance dominates many styles and accessories. Comfortable styles show casualness and authenticity with unique details. Textiles, surfaces, and materials implement the strongly three-dimensional and haptic trends. The main colours of the season are powerful petrol, earthy chestnut red, deep graphite grey, lively mint green, and fresh mint.
